Deep River, is a town of 4000 with a catchment area of 10,000 +, situated along the banks of the Ottawa River, and just under 2 hours west of Ottawa and 2 hours east of North Bay. The Hospital is surrounded by beautiful wooded trails and just a 10-minute walk to our picture-perfect water front, ideal for practicing rural medicine and for those outdoor enthusiasts.
The Deep River & District Hospital has a 16-bed medical inpatients unit, as well as shares its' site with the Four Seasons Lodge Long-Term Care Home and the North Renfrew Family Health Team. Our Emergency Department facilities include two resuscitation beds, two observation beds, one procedure room and three treatment rooms, as well as diagnostic imaging support, PACS, lab support, cardiac monitoring, bed side ultra-sound and an exceptionally supportive nursing team.
