Eligible for CPSA license
Eligible or holder of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Exam
Eligible or holder of the Licensure by Provincial or Territorial Authorities / Medical Council of Canada.
Internist's Primary Duties:
Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and social health to identify any underlying conditions or functional limitations.
Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
Monitor and assess the risks associated with medications.
Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
Advise patients on healthcare.
Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' health.
Communicate health promotion/disease prevention to patients.
Provide Counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
