Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC)

SOAHAC is an Aboriginal Health Access Centre providing integrated primary care, mental health, and traditional wellness services to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit individuals and families. Our care is grounded in Indigenous culture, trauma-informed practice, and wholistic, community-based healing.

We are seeking a Family Physician to join our London site (493 Dundas Street) in a team-based, salaried model. This role is funded under the Primary Services Agreement (PSA), with no fee-for-service billing.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Full-time: $331,975 annually (PSA rate for 35 hours/week)
  • Part-time considered; compensation prorated
  • HOOPP (defined benefit pension) participation
  • Extended health and dental benefits

Job Requirements
Clinical Responsibilities
• Comprehensive primary care across the lifespan
• Health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management
• Acute episodic care
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members within their scopes of practice
• Incorporation of cultural safety and wholistic healing principles in daily practice

Interdisciplinary Environment
You will work alongside Traditional Healers and Elders, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Mental Health clinicians, Social Workers, and administrative support. The model emphasizes collaborative, relationship-based care and shared care planning.

Qualifications
• MD with Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP preferred)
• Licence for Independent Practice, or eligibility, with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Experience working with Indigenous communities or in CHC/AHAC settings is an asset
