TELUS Health Care Centres at our North Vancouver clinic at 138 13th St E Suite 220, North Vancouver, BC is looking for a passionate and dedicated Family Physician to join our team in North Vancouver, BC 4-5 days per week in-clinic. This opportunity is in-person for daytime hours only and does not require evenings/weekend hours. Our clinic focuses on family practice, preventive medicine, personalized health and wellness plans, and delivering quality healthcare outcomes.
In our combined LFP (Longitudinal Family Physician) and Preventative care practice, a portion of your day or week (approximately 50%) will be spent delivering traditional longitudinal family medicine care to a small panel of approximately 400 patients. The other portion of the day or week (approximately 50%) will be dedicated to conducting preventing, wellness, non-medical treatment exams.
You will not need to do any practice management. Our professional management and administration team will provide you with the full support you need, including billings.
You will be working in a collaborative environment with opportunities to participate in care innovation, thought leadership and potentially medical leadership, if that is of interest at some point.
Specifics about the practice details are as follows:
LFP Family Physician
- Provide longitudinal primary care to patients on a small panel
- Compensation: Competitive Split-Fee for direct (80/20) and indirect patient care and panel payments (100%)
Physician - Preventative Health
- Provide preventative and wellness health assessments.
- Compensation: $250-$300/hr (no overhead)
For both sides of the practice you will work alongside and get support from other dedicated and forward thinking family physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, LPNs, and allied care clinicians.
Your total annual compensation potential on the conservative side after overhead is about $390,000 and on the higher end $450,000, depending on the panel size and how busy you will want to be with the preventive and wellness side of the practice.

Key Requirements for Both Positions:
- Physician licensed to practice in the province of British Columbia.
- Maintain medical liability insurance coverage through the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
- Comfortable with using an EMR and workplace technology.
- Passionate and empathetic individual committed to patient-first care.
- Strong belief in team-based care and excellent communication skills.
Foreign Trained Physician Requirements:
- US-trained specialists are exempt from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons eligibility requirements (US Board Certified Physicians are eligible for an independent license in British Columbia) through Pathway A.
- Internationally trained candidates who pass the subspecialty exam being launched by CPSB (College of Physicians and surgeons of British Columbia) will be considered through the Exam Eligible Route.
