The Kingston Community Health Centres (KCHC) in partnership with the Mighty Docs FHO has an exciting opportunity for the right Physician. KCHC is offering a salary-based six month LOCUM position based in the Napanee Area Community Health Centre (NACHC) with the opportunity to continue the practice as a full-time member of the Mighty Docs FHO. Looking for a Physician to start as early as July 19, 2021 but we will be flexible for the right candidate.

When 26 Primary Care Physicians from 3 FHOs and the local Community Health Centre come together to ensure that services and resources will benefit patients, good things happen!
Recent successful initiatives have included the formation of an Inter-Professional Primary Care Team, optional every two week coffee meetings of Community Docs and NPs, shared care mental health rounds and Primary Care, in partnerships with local municipalities and Public Health, managing COVID vaccination clinics.
RFLA’s high performing Allied Health Team consists of social workers, kinesiologist, dietitians, advanced foot-care nurse, a certified respiratory educator, NPs, RNs, physiotherapy services, diabetes education programing, smoking cessation programing, homelessness prevention, youth outreach and an Indigenous health program.
We have strong partnerships with; Queen’s Department of Family Medicine, Providence Care’s regional mental health teams, the Indigenous Inter-Professional Primary Care Team, Addictions Mental Health Services and the Prince Edward Lennox and Addington Social Services. Home and Community Care, Providence Care’s Community High Intensity Treatment Team, Alzheimer’s Society, the Ontario Native Women’s Association and a CHC-run Dental Clinic are all located in the building.
With 26 Primary Care Physicians, 6 NPs, 4 Specialists and 17 Allied Health Team members all in, or about to be in, one version of Practice Solutions EMR, communication is quick and efficient. Statistical analysis of practices, privacy support and EMR technical assistance are all available locally.
This rural region is recognized as a key partner in the approved OHT with a local primary care Physician acting as OHT Executive Lead. The common denominator to these efforts; patients and providers have all greatly benefited!
Our Facilities
NACHC has six exam rooms, space for Provider collaboration, nursing and meeting rooms all within the clinical area. The Lennox & Addington County General Hospital is an excellent community hospital that consistently meets its vision to be a recognized healthcare provider of choice, a respected employer and a valued community partner while providing a wide range of services.
Our Community
Napanee provides a plethora of year-round outdoor activities including many lakes, forests and wetlands to kayak, x-country sky, hike and explore. A surprising number of arts and naturalist groups abound. Relatively inexpensive land and housing provide ample opportunities for comfortable living for families and singles. A short 30 minute drive to Kingston provides urban amenities like fine dining, shopping and significant arts and cultural attractions. A 90 minute drive gets one to Toronto and the big city attractions therein.
