The Vancouver Island Neurosurgical Foundation is seeking a specialist physician to support our neurosurgical practice through patient triage and early clinical assessment, designed to improve access to care, streamline surgical readiness, and enhance overall patient outcomes. This role is well suited to specialists with expertise in surgical care and patient selection, including Neurosurgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Sports Medicine Physicians, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialists, with a focus on both non-operative management or optimization of pre-surgical evaluation.

The successful candidate will conduct initial consultation via telehealth or in-person, assessing and determining appropriate next steps in care. This includes ordering and coordinating necessary imaging and investigations, as well as triaging patients based on clinical urgency and surgical suitability.

Clinics will be fully coordinated and scheduled on your behalf, with patients drawn directly from the neurosurgical practice. The clinic provides fully equipped consultation space, EMR access, and experienced administrative support staff to ensure a seamless workflow.

Remuneration is based on fee-for-service billing through MSP. A competitive and transparent overhead structure is available.
