Part-time, Casual or Locum opportunities are also available.

(Approximately $400,000 to $500,000 per year)
Education:
Doctor of Medicine
Completion of four to five years of the Internal Medicine Residency Program
Experience:
1 to 2 years
Licence:
Eligible or holder of the Licensure by Provincial or Territorial Authorities
Completion of four to five years of the Internal Medicine Residency Program
Eligible or holder of Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Internist's primary duties:
Examine patients and obtain medical histories to diagnose diseases and disorders affecting internal organs and body systems.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other specialized investigations.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of adult medical conditions, including cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, gastrointestinal, infectious, and metabolic diseases.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications, therapies, and preventive care strategies.
Provide specialist consultations and medical advice to family physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding complex medical cases.
Monitor patients’ progress, adjust treatments as necessary, and ensure continuity of care for acute and chronic illnesses.
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, disease prevention, and lifestyle management.
Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records and clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and clinic policies.
Collaborate with other specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
