South Island Primary Care Society is seeking a Family Physician in Langford, British Columbia.
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 36-40 hours per week, up to 5 days per week
Location: Langford, British Columbia
Salary: $275,000 - $385,000 (estimated)
Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2026
Duties:
- Provide health care services in a competent, conscientious, and professional manner;
- Create patient-specific health programs that make use of historical data;
- Monitor and adapt individualized health programs over time;
- Provide comprehensive wellness examinations, take patients histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures;
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments;
- Schedule and administer follow-up examination;
- Refer patients to other providers for specialized treatment;
- Administer immunizations and vaccinations;
- Supervise and manage nurses and medical assistants;
- Coordinate care with other medical professionals;
- Care for the whole patient, including mental and emotional concerns;
- Build long-term relationships with patients;
- Advise patients in health management and disease prevention.
Requirement:
- A medical degree from an approved faculty of medicine listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools – with a Canada Note, is required;
- Must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC);
- Must be a member in good standing with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or an equivalent professional liability insurance plan;
- 2-3 years of family medicine residency training are required;
- Certification required: MRCGP, MICGP, FRACGP, FACRRM, CCFP, or DABFM;
- Proficiency of English language is required (IELTS Academic 8.0 band overall).
