Our first clinic, Veres Family Health Clinic will open in spring 2026 at the Covenant Community Health Centre in the Mill Wood Lakewood community, in Edmonton, Alberta. This new space will foster a welcoming, community focused environment where providers can practice meaningful, comprehensive primary care while truly making a difference.
Role Description
This is a flexible, on-site opportunity for a Family Physician to play a meaningful role in delivering comprehensive, community-based primary care. In this position, the Family Physician will diagnose and treat acute illness, manage chronic conditions, and provide routine health assessments across the lifespan.
A strong commitment to team-based care is essential. The Family Physician will deliver patient-centered care in a collaborative environment, working closely with an interdisciplinary team that may include nurses, nurse practitioners, allied health professionals, and clinic staff to coordinate care and support each patient’s overall well-being. The role includes responding to urgent concerns when needed, advancing preventive care, supporting long-term health outcomes, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen the health of the broader community.
Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent.
• Licensed with the College of Family Physicians of Canada and eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
• Certification with the College of Family Physicians.
• Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
• Demonstrated commitment to DEI in the healthcare environment.
• Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
Additional Information
• Position Classification & FTE: This is a flexible position ranging from 0.4 FTE up to a maximum of 1.0 FTE and will include some evening and weekend coverage.
