Qualifications:
- Medical degree
- Must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
- Must have professional liability coverage
- Minimum 5 years experience practicing as a respiratory or sleep medicine physician
Compensation:
- Remuneration will be Fee-for-Service based on annual rates as outlined by Manitoba’s Minister of Health. Anticipated salary fee-for-service annual compensation: $350,000-$450,000 based on minimum 30 hours/week.

Description:
The Physician, Sleep Specialist at Careica Health will fulfill all duties associated with a sleep medicine practice, including:
- Interpret and Analyze Sleep Studies – Review diagnostic sleep study results and provide detailed assessments to guide clinical decisions.
- Consultation and Treatment Recommendations – Provide expert consultations to referring physicians and recommend appropriate treatment plans, including CPAP therapy, oral appliances, or other therapeutic interventions.
- Patient Education and Follow-Up – Educate patients on sleep disorders, treatment options, and ongoing management to ensure adherence to prescribed therapies.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams – Work closely with respiratory therapists, sleep technicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain Compliance with CPSM Standards – Adhere to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM) regulations and standards of care in sleep medicine.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives – Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance patient care and outcomes in sleep medicine services.
The Physician, Sleep Specialist must be on site to carry out the above duties.
