Over 80 physicians and specialists, alongside a broad roster of complementary health care disciplines, provide health and lifestyle management services on site and by video consult for individuals, families and organizations. Our team of 500 staff see patients physically and virtually from our downtown Toronto and Oakville location.

The Physician Role:

Having expanded our roster with over 20 new doctors and nurse practitioners recently, our client is currently recruiting for many more full or part-time Physicians with diversified skills to complement their various high-performing and fast-growing teams of clinicians within our three flagship clinics - Annual Health Assessment (in-depth personal evaluation), Year-Round Care (Primary/OHIP), and Dedicated Care in both in clinic and virtual environments.

They have lofty goals for continued growth and are recruiting patient-focused physicians with clinical experience/specialization in the full breadth of family (pediatrics, adult medicine and geriatrics), and acute/emergency care.

Position Goal:

Deliver exceptional clinical practice, precision/personalized medicine and patient service experience

The Accountabilities:

Provide screening and primary care health services for patients

Examine patients, take their complete history and provide clinical guidance and recommendations

Evaluate the patients’ health, make diagnosis on clinical conditions, prescribe and administer medications, treatments and follow up care with internal or external specialists through expedited referral/same day test results

Educate, advise and empower patients on preventive health care and disease prevention

Provide counseling and support to patients on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues

Manage circle of patient care through dedicated 50-person in-house Patient Support Centre (PSC) teams of medical administrators, patient coordinators and nurses

Participate in Company business initiatives including continuing education, innovation, research, product development, support and guidance

Cardiac Stress Testing interpretation (training will be provided)

Follow Company procedures for all documentation, timelines, coordination with internal follow up care teams

Adhere to standards of best practice

Ongoing learning for innovative, predictive, prevention diagnostics and wellness programs

CME, ongoing workshops and attendance at annual clinical update leadership offsite summits

The Requirements:

Current registration in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)

CCFP designation, CCFP (EM) designation or FRCPC designation

Experience in preventive care and wellness is an asset

English and multilingual physicians preferred to reflect our patient mix

Exceptional and demonstrable interpersonal skills

Ability to respectfully and tactfully interact and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in a collegial, empathetic manner

Exemplary team player

Superior organization and time management skills

Comfortable with technological advancements including ECG, stress testing, digital innovation and telemedicine

Knowledge and use of EMR systems

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Outlook

The client is flexible with schedule. However, ideally, they are looking for candidates willing to committing to later day shift start and weekend work.
