The Oxford County Community Health Centre is seeking a Full-Time Family Physician (4-5 days per week) to join an amazing team who are passionate about their work and the patients we serve.

Work Environment & Team

  • No overhead costs; no OHIP billing; full administrative support
  • Fully salaried position with comprehensive benefits (salary is determined between the Ministry of Health & the Ontario Medical Association)
  • Surrounded by team of salaried professionals: MD’s, Nurse Practitioners, RNs, RPNs, Dietitian, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Addiction/Mental Health Counsellors, Community Outreach/System Navigation staff, Housing Stability Workers, Medical Receptionists
  • Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week;   1 hr. lunch
  • 10 – 11 patients per day;  30 minute appointments on average
  • Closed Wednesday afternoons for administration, plus additional administration time built into MD schedules for follow-up work and charting throughout the week
  • Electronic Medical Record: TELUS PS Suite
  • Other Digital tools: e-consult; Up-to-Date; Clinical Connect; OTN
  • Arrangements can be made to work from home for administrative purposes
  • On-call may be an expectation in the future – to be rotated throughout the MD and NP Team, and compensated. Some Wednesday evenings may be expected.

Job Requirements

  • Current and valid license to practice from the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons
  • CCFP Certification or equivalent practical experience
  • Membership in Ontario Medical Association
  • Membership in Canadian Medical Protective Association
  • Experience in a team-based primary care setting & exposure to the work of a Community Health Centre preferred
Compensation & Benefits
  • $258,123 Base Annual salary ($132.37 per hour) plus benefits ( approx. 22%) $56,787 = total of $314,910.00

  • 18 paid sick days per fiscal year
