The Clinic at Christie as a premier multidisciplinary clinic located in downtown Toronto, Ontario. The Clinic originated out of a need to address the lack of personalized and one-on-one care in the rehabilitation industry. The goal of The Clinic is to create an environment that focuses on patient needs, quality service, and creating an overall positive client experience for anyone who walks through our door. We provide comprehensive, integrated care with cutting edge treatment solutions. Our team includes family physicians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, registered massage therapists, acupuncturists, and registered dietitians and naturopaths, having the need of our patients completely covered. Overall, we are committed to meeting the healthcare needs of those who reside within the Greater Toronto Area with excellence and compassion.

Our office is a team full of many different health professionals.  At this time, the Clinic is looking for a family physician to meet the high demands in the area, especially with the anticipated population growth due to new condominium developments surrounding our clinic. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate family physician to join our team and meet the growing healthcare needs of our community. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients of all ages, focusing on preventive health, treatment, and overall well-being. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while addressing the diverse medical needs of individuals and families in a dynamic environment.

Job Requirements
The job responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assess patients by conducting examinations, gathering medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests (such as lab work and X-rays), and consulting with other healthcare providers to evaluate both physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments.
• Perform and assist with routine surgical procedures.
• Provide emergency and urgent care services.
• Administer vaccinations for disease prevention and treatment.
• Offer prenatal and postnatal care.
• Advise patients and their families on health management, including promoting health, preventing diseases, and avoiding accidents.
• Offer counseling and support on a wide range of health and lifestyle concerns.
• Act as an advocate for patients' rights and needs.
• Coordinate and manage primary patient care.
• Ensure continuous care for patients.
• Oversee home care services.
• Report births, deaths, communicable diseases, and other health-related matters to government authorities.

Qualifications and skills for the position are as follows:

• MD or equivalent degree from a recognized institution
• Licensed to practice in Ontario, Canada and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) preferred
• Completion of residency training program in Family Medicine
• 1+ years of experience in family medicine practice

The ideal candidate will strong medical knowledge, excellent communication and diagnostic skills, and the ability to provide patient-centered care. They must be adept at problem-solving, work well in a team, be independent, manage time efficiently, and be culturally sensitive. Additionally, they should focus on preventive care, patient advocacy, and continuous professional development.

This is a full-time position with a fixed hourly salary of $140.08, based on a 40-hour week. Benefits include 1 free service at The Clinic, 30% off our services, and access to The Clinic’s in-house gym. The candidate must be available for a 40-hour work week and must be available as per the needs of the facility.
