Snapshot of the position:

Pivotal Healthcare Recruiting is a National Search Firm specializing in the placement of Medical and Healthcare positions across Canada.  We have partnered with Canada’s largest private Health & Wellness organization focusing on Preventative Medicine to assist with the placement of Bilingual Physicians for their Montreal & Quebec City clinics.  

In this role, the “Independent-Contracting” Physician will provide a high-touch concierge experience for the patient, providing a full array of testing and an extensive consultation with a Doctor regarding the Patient's health status. The Physician has the ability to work flexible shifts, working 3-4 days a week in a new state of the art medical facility and New Grads are Welcome.

 Responsibilities:

• Provides Primary Care directly, performing assessments, diagnosis’s, counselling, screening, referrals, education, treatment and other medical functions as required according to the provincial College of Physicians. (Quebec, Canada)

 

• The preventative health exam provides a comprehensive early-detection physical through a complete full body checkup during a single visit with a follow up extensive medical report

Patient testing includes audiometry, vision screening, spirometry, electrocardiogram, cardiac stress tests, and laboratory results.

 

You will work with support staff (medical assistants, medical records/transcription, RN) on further testing, patient follow-up, charting and reporting

Interviews (takes history), examines, makes medical assessments, taking into account the social and economic determinants of health.

 

• Participates in case conferences, staff, team and committee meetings, and other activities related to the organization, to ensure coordination of client

 


Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

•New Grad Welcome

Current Licensed to practice medicine and membership in good standing with the College of Physicians (Quebec, Canada)

• Completed training in Internal or Family Medicine from an accredited Canadian university program with an active and good standing Medical licence

• Knowledge of cardiovascular risk, lipid management, obesity, stress management and lifestyle issues is a plus

• Demonstrated experience within Preventative Healthcare

• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with our diverse clientele and across all levels of the organization
